Karen Weintraub

Karen Weintraub has reported for the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Houston Post and the Virginian-Pilot before moving into editing at The Boston Globe, where she edited the Globe‘s weekly Health/Science section, as well as daily medical and science coverage. She spent the 2008-2009 academic year on a Knight Science Journalism Fellowship at MIT, taking the science classes she never took as an undergraduate at the University of Pennsylvania or while getting her master’s at the University of Houston.

Now, she splits her work time between teaching journalism; writing for news outlets such as the Globe, USA Today, and the BBC’s website. She has written three books with HHP: The Autism Revolution, (Ballantine/Random House, March 27, 2012), Fast Minds, about adult ADHD (Berkley/Penguin, 2012), and Taming Your Child’s Temper Tantrums (Rosetta, 2012).
